Turning complexity into experiences people trust.
Product Designer specialising in trust-critical systems across fintech, legaltech, civic tech, and enterprise products.
Research, problem framing, role-aware architecture, interaction design, systems thinking, and handoff discipline, one evidence-led product process.
Each one is framed around the real problem, key design decisions, and measurable outcome. The thinking, not just the screens.

Unified platform for startup discovery, investor engagement, and ecosystem reporting across two interconnected platforms: AfriConnect and ACDR.
AI-powered judicial documentation platform, reducing courtroom administrative burden so judges and court staff can focus on decisions, not paperwork.
Unified school management system working across admin (desktop), teaching (tablet), check-in (kiosk), and parental engagement (mobile).
International users managing multi-currency transactions without anxiety around fees, conversion rates, or failed states.
Step-by-step validation with inline error detection, bulk operations, and audit trail UI, reducing cognitive load for HR officers at civil-servant scale.
Plain-language eligibility questionnaire and reassuring case status UI for citizens discovering legal aid for the first time.

View full project archiveI treat design as a decision-making discipline. Research, mapping, prototyping, systems, and validation exist to reduce uncertainty before teams invest engineering time.
I separate the user problem from the assumed solution through interviews, journey review, product analytics, and stakeholder alignment.
Before interface work, I document user goals, business constraints, roles, platform requirements, and the signals that will prove the solution worked.
Information architecture, task flows, permissions, empty states, error states, and recovery paths are designed as one connected product system.
UI decisions become components, variants, tokens, and interaction rules so the product can scale beyond the first release.
Specs, responsive behaviour, accessibility annotations, and QA notes reduce the design-to-engineering gap and minimise surprises after handoff.
For product teams, the portfolio needs to show judgment: how problems are framed, how complexity is structured, and how design holds up across engineering, accessibility, and real-world use.
Web, mobile, admin portals, tablet, and POS kiosk, designed simultaneously on the same product. Systems built to work across device types and user roles.
Fintech payments, legal flows, civic data, AI output. I design for states where a confusing interaction breaks user confidence. Error states and recovery are part of the first draft.
Component libraries, token architectures, and state documentation so engineering teams can move without constant design intervention. Handoff-ready means complete, not just pretty.
Senior design work is not only visual polish. It is the ability to create durable product language: tokens, components, patterns, states, accessibility rules, and team rituals that keep quality high as the product grows.
Color, spacing, radius, type, shadows, and motion values structured so product teams can scale consistently across screens and platforms.
Reusable buttons, cards, forms, tables, modals, navigation, empty states, and page patterns with clear usage rules.
No state is an afterthought. Critical products need clear defaults, focus, loading, empty, success, pending, failed, and recovery paths.
"Benjamin brought clarity to a product space that had confused two previous designers. He mapped every user role, every edge case, and delivered a system our engineers could actually build from. No back-and-forth needed."
"Working with Benjamin on the IPPIS platform was different from working with most designers. He understood the operational stakes immediately and designed for failure modes we hadn't even articulated yet."
Projects shipped across fintech, legaltech, civic tech, EdTech, logistics, and real estate.
Designing multi-platform digital systems across web, mobile, admin portals, and kiosk interfaces.
I'm Benjamin J. Benjamin a Product and UI/UX Designer with 4+ years of experience designing multi-platform digital systems. I've shipped 42+ real projects across web, mobile, admin portals, and kiosk interfaces.
My approach is systems-first. Before Figma opens, I map the problem, the user roles, the data flows, and the edge cases. This comes from an engineering background: B.Eng. Civil Engineering, which trained me to design for failure modes and scale from the start.
The projects in this portfolio are based in Nigeria, but the design challenges are universal. IPPIS processes payroll records for over 1 million federal civil servants, equivalent in operational scale to the UK's HMRC or large national payroll systems.LACON is a federally mandated legal aid network operating across 36 states. JUDIC AI is an AI-powered judicial documentation platform for judges, court staff, and legal professionals. The contexts differ; the problems of trust, access, scale, and complexity are the same everywhere.
